May 2011: Cervia, Cesena and Ravenna

There is something for everyone in this special contract news edition...

Included are the design projects achieved in recent months in various eating places in Romagna, thanks to fruitful cooperation with Elfiluce. Starting with the red shades of Misstrass at Nouvelle Vague (coffee bar) in Cervia, we then continue with two spectacular installations of Limelight 28.6 at the Pasticceria Cesenate (patisserie), and then go on to Ravenna. Here, after a stop at the Gelateria Bianco (ice cream parlour), where the minimalist setting is enhanced with a crystal green version of Misstrass, we arrive at the entrance to “Antichi Sapori di Casa”, an elegant delicatessen and butchers with a mezzanine in the historic centre of the town, with its suspended lamp in honey shades.

After coffee, pastries, ice creams and local delicacies we finish in style with a truly special creation. We are still in the historic centre of Ravenna at Palazzo Grossi, which houses “La Mariola” restaurant and wine bar. In collaboration with the manager of Elfiluce, Federica Viale, and the architect Giorgio Casadio, the designer of this restaurant, Light4 has created a special suspended lamp that matches the rustic and medieval atmosphere of this historic building in Ravenna.

This custom-made lamp has been designed to fulfil the need for efficient lighting while keeping the attractive vaulted and frescoed ceiling visible. Large and ethereal, this special design project features lampshades in ivory coloured cotton, chosen to fully match a setting that includes many wooden elements. While sipping a glass of wine and tasting the chef’s specialities, you can admire the four unique versions located in the charming rooms of the building.
